The Kitty Fang is a compact and agile a-grav vehicle, developed for missions where speed and discretion are crucial. It combines futuristic design with narrative functionality, intended for disruption, fast reconnaissance, and the transport of sensitive or illicit cargo. Unlike more aggressive vehicles, the Kitty Fang carries no conventional weapons: its strength lies in advanced electronic countermeasures, designed to confuse radar and targeting systems, making it nearly invisible to pursuers. This makes it ideal for smuggling scenarios or quick actions behind enemy lines.
The pilot, an integral part of the model, embodies the spirit of someone living on the edge, always ready to risk everything to complete a mission. The cockpit was designed to be minimal yet high-tech: every detail is meant to ensure maximum visibility and control during sudden escapes or tense chases. The figure of the pilot adds character to the vehicle, turning the model into a small storytelling scene.
Development began with the digital design phase, created primarily with Plasticity, a software that allows precise control over surfaces and complex details. This tool made it possible to create flowing shapes, futuristic paneling, and technical details that give the model depth and realism. Once the digital sculpt was completed, the file was prepared for 3D printing using Lychee Slicer, an essential tool for optimizing part orientation, managing supports, and ensuring consistent print quality.
The next stage was printing itself, carried out with an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra, a resin 3D printer capable of delivering a very high level of detail. This machine allowed for faithful reproduction of surfaces and geometries, preserving even the smallest features. The printing process required several hours of work and careful monitoring, but the final result was a clean prototype, ready for assembly and finishing.
Assembly was carried out with precision, testing the fit of the main components and checking proportions between the hull and the pilot figure. Some elements were left temporarily taped in place, to allow for corrections and alignment adjustments before the final build. This approach not only optimizes the assembly but also leaves room for possible variations or improvements in future versions.
In its current form, the Kitty Fang represents a work in progress that combines model-making, storytelling, and digital technology. It stands as an example of how modern tools like Plasticity, Lychee Slicer, and the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra can come together to bring a project to life, blending aesthetics, function, and narrative. Each phase, from design to printed prototype, illustrates a creative journey that goes beyond simple construction: it is a way of building miniature worlds.
